Jonah Mix is the author of Gender Detective, a blog that hopes to provide a critical perspective on BDSM, pornography, prostitution, queer theory, and other expressions of patriarchy that too often go unaddressed by the larger pro-feminist men’s movement.

  1. Hi! 🙂 Always glad to find male-feminists (Not that only male has anything to do with feminism but both genders do, I just find less male feminists, that’s all!)

  2. Geraldine says:

How did you get to be so weak, emasculated, and gay? Why do you hate yourself so much? Serious questions.

  3. Gregory says:

You discuss male privilege and white privilege but nowhere do I see a mention of human privilege – which can be defined as the privilege of being born a human in a global society that values our interests above all other species’ interests. This is evidenced by the human-caused mass extinction we are in the midst of today.

    • Hi Gregory – yes, this is a huge issue. I’ve done presentations in the past on human supremacy and the need to dismantle it. I don’t post much on this blog about it, but you can see some of my work on the Deep Green Resistance blog. I’m presenting on the subject in two days, in fact, at the Public Interest Environmental Law Conference. Check it out!

  4. I’d like to see you address the issue of autogynephilia. Perhaps a book review of Dr. Anne A. Lawrence’s “Men Trapped in Men’s Bodies: Narratives of Autogynephilic Transsexualism.”
